FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

NO TRAVEL FEES FOR WEDDINGS IN THE US, SERIOUSLY?

Yes! 80% of my weddings are travel based. I love being on the road capturing love stories of couples who are madly in love. I'll use my travel points to good use on you ✌️☺️

HOW DO WE BOOK?

After we’ve talked on the phone about which collection works best for your wedding I’ll send along a formal online proposal with the contract and payment information (retainer fee for weddings is $1000). Please note that I often receive multiple inquiries for the same date. I cannot hold a wedding date without a contract and retainer.

WHAT ARE THE DELIVERABLES?

You get all the edited files in high resolution JPEG format. Easily downloadable though your personal website with no watermarks five to six weeks after the wedding. You will see highlights of the wedding through my social media plataforms usually days after the wedding.

HOW MANY WEDDING IMAGES DO YOU DELIVER?

I typically average 600-1500 fully edited images depending on the wedding day. This can vary, but I never focus on a number as I shoot. I’m too much in the moment for that.

DO I NEED A SHOTLIST?

Nope! One month before the wedding day you’ll receive a questionnaire with everything I need to know about your wedding day plans. Included in that is the only shot list I ask for — the grouping of family photos. There are recommendations about what people normally do and an area to fill in what’s unique to your family.

SHOULD WE HIRE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

It is not always necessary but I highly recommend it. A second photographer adds another perspective to the wedding and can ease the stress when there is a situation that requires me to be in two places at once. That being said, a second photographer is currently provided in my wedding collections. On average they start with me at the beginning of the day and leave before the reception starts. Their time is the most valuable up front when there are many things going on at once. I shoot the majority of  receptions on my own.

CAN WE POST OUR PHOTOS ONLINE?

Of course! You’re welcome to post your photos wherever you would like. I do ask that when posting you either tag or credit me in the caption. By doing so you are supporting me more than you will ever know. My business is primarily run on referral’s, so you spreading the good word keeps me alive doing what I love.

DO YOU BACKUP YOUR IMAGES?

Yes, I have an entire system in place. I have about 4 given copy's of your photos at any given time in case there is a corrupt memory card, bag gets stolen, or house burns down. You will have 90 days to back up your photos once they are delivered via your personal website. You are responsible for backing them up during this time. Storage is way more affordable now, so let me know if you need any suggestions on how to best go about safekeeping of your new photos.

ARE YOU ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Yep! Below are the platforms I use. I tend to be more active on IG, but make sure to follow me on both so I can tag you on my feed/timeline.

Instagram

Facebook

WHAT IS A SAME DAY SLIDESHOW?

Re-live a highlight of some of your best images from the day; only hours after they have been taken on a 15" monitor for all your guests to enjoy (additional fee applies). Sometime during cocktail hour I will tuck away and edit photos from the day while the second photographer captures cocktail hour. Images will be ready for display during the reception. Everyone is usually blown away by this.

WHAT ARE THE PEOPLE SAYING?

Nashville Wedding Photography by Saul Cervantes Photography-104.jpg

Discovering the ideal photographer for our wedding was no easy task. From settling on a style, to comparing packages, and finally forming a bond, let’s just say this vendor required more homework than any other. We placed so much effort in planning the biggest day of our lives so it goes without saying we wanted our biggest moments captured! While there were many outstanding photographers to choose from who were capable of taking amazing pictures, we insisted on finding THE photographer who could do this AND accompany us through our story. We found our match SEVEN-HUNDRED plus miles later. Saul Cervantes seized every intimate and personal moment for some of the most beautiful, heartwarming candids. He took our genuine moments and shot them without our knowing: the perfect amount of anticipation before our first touch, the next eighty years of our life through our first kiss, and our message of love through our first steps on the dance floor (all moments of keepsakes to be passed down). We are forever grateful of the experience (and talent) Saul Cervantes offered to grasp the start of our journey as husband and wife! To the artist who aligned his mind, eye, and heart on the same axis to tell our happily ever after, we can’t thank you enough. -Jon & Irene

Claire and I showed up on our wedding day never having had professional photographs taken and only having had a brief phone conversation with Saul. We instantly clicked with him and he gave us some cues while still letting us feel comfortable and like ourselves. We usually joke about how not-photogenic we are as a couple and it might not actually be a joke. However, the product we received from Saul far exceeded our expectations. They’re not just great pictures. When I look at them I get the feeling that I’m there, re-living the best day of my life. Saul worked seamlessly through the day to capture the details and emotions that made the day so special. Don’t tell him I said this, but I would have paid double had I known how amazing the experience and product would turn out to be. Thank you, Saul! - Dave & Claire

Working with Saul was unexpected but the greatest surprise! We hired another photographer for our engagement shoot and wedding day, but Saul filled in for her as she was unable to make the wedding day. He also worked with the other photographer to shoot our engagement photos. Next time we would hire Saul from the get-go! Of any photographer we have ever had, we loved our experience with Saul. He captured what you could consider the biggest, most special moments from our wedding. He also captured other moments that I wouldn't have initially considered as important, but ones that now have so much meaning and help us re-live the memories. He was so friendly, professional, and easy to work with, so we felt at ease with him during our experience. Our whole wedding was phenomenal, and our photographer (Saul) has to be one of our top recommendations for anyone planning their special day. - Emma & Wes
