A Dreamy Hermitage Hotel Wedding by Nashville Wedding Photographer
As we all know, Covid has continued to challenge couples when it comes to their wedding plans. Unfortunately, this was no exception for Tiffany & Johannes. Originally scheduled to have their wedding in Italy, they quickly had to adapt in order to host some of their closest family and friends.
Luckily, Nashville is not short when it comes to some of the most dreamy venues and some of the most talented vendors in the wedding industry. The Hermitage Hotel is one of the top wedding venues in Tennessee, so it was an honor for me to be back to document this incredible day for the two of them.
It started with the bride getting ready with her bridesmaids and some family in one of the suites. I asked Tiffany for her stationary set upon arrival, and I styled and photographed it while they were doing the last-minute make up touches. It’s so important to maximize time when unexpected delays come up, and time management is something I am proud to say I have become an expert in when it comes to weddings. We followed that up by popping a bottle and getting some photos of all of the bridesmaids celebrating their best friend, Tiffany. The groom was on another floor finishing things up with his father and closest friends.
After both the bride and the groom were finished getting ready, we did their first look, and it was a touchy and dreamy moment; it seemed so surreal! After that, we walked across the street to the War Memorial to capture a few more portraits. We were unsure what the weather would be like closer to sunset, so we decided to grab all the possible photos we could outside before it began to rain. The second photographer that was with me on the day was able to bring the full bridal party over while I was with the couple, and we decided to take advantage of the beautiful setting to capture the full bridal party. Even with the clouds on the verge of bursting and rain about to pour down on all of us, you would have never guessed it by looking at the pictures; they came out gorgeous!
The reason why first looks can be so beneficial, especially during the winter, is the fact that we were able to get all of their photos done prior to the ceremony and the sun going down. Otherwise, they would not have had the chance to get photos as a couple outside with the beautiful natural light. I encourage you to talk more in depth with your photographer about the pro’s when it comes to first looks! It makes so much sense if pictures are one of your top priorities for the wedding day. If you are going to invest big on your Nashville wedding photographer, definitely have a solid timeline that will allow you to get all the photos you are looking for!
The ceremony was beautiful, classic, and a total dream. There were plenty of unique and special ways they celebrated, including the groom’s grandmother singing “Ave Maria” for the guests in attendance. From there, we went into cocktail hour followed by the reception where there was a touching speech from the bride’s father. We ended the night with the most epic exit you will ever see!! Seriously, make sure you make it to the end of the gallery to see it!
