Griffith Observatory Couple Session in LA with Tori Keeth & Matt Sato

My friend Vic and I arrived in LA with a few hours to spare before meeting up with Tori Keeth and Matt Satto at The Griffith Observatory. We probably got Chipotle for lunch or something after the airport before heading up to Mount Hollywood; meal of champions of course!

Once we started driving up the hill we quickly ran into a little bumper to bumper traffic with everyone trying to make it to the top. Although we began to see cars pullover to park and walk the rest of the way up, the hot california sun kept us in our car a little longer until we decided to take a leap of faith to hopefully find something up top. We were able to circle back around after not being successful the first time and we found the perfect spot. Persistence is the name of the game.

However, note to self, there is hardly any cellular reception up there so make sure you coordinate this with your photographer on a meeting point. We were able to find Tori & Matt easily as we saw their car pull up, so we wasted no time! They were incredibly laid back and super easy to direct. It was crowded and hot, since it was mid day but we made things work!! We carefully waited for moments at a time to use little pockets where the light was just right, near some shaded areas that would allow for gorgeous light. We tried to stay out of everyones way, but midway into the shoot they were definitely attracting some attention.

In the end, It couldn’t have gone any better!! Take a look.
